Two bronze deers are mounted on stone columns at the entrance of the Mandrake harbor in the town of Rhodes. For many of us descendants of the Rhodeslis the image of the deer on this plate evokes such nostalgia of the Rhodian “cervo” our parents referred to the symbol of this idyllic island.
